Geundae (백경근대 Baekyeong Geundae) - White Stem Swiss Chard Seeds
Koreans love making soup or namul with Baek Kyeong Geundae (백경근대) or White Stem Swiss Chard.
Grows similar to typical swiss chard. It can grown in full sun to part shade.
Annual and can be planted in spring or fall.
When planting in spring, plant about 4 inch apart, in fall about 6 inch apart. Thin out after the true leaves have appeared. You can thin out 2-3 more times as needed.
In Korea, it's typically planted in April for June harvest, May for July harvest and August for October harvest.
RECIPES - blanch the leaves and then make namul with them or make soybean paste soup with it.
